How To Tighten A Loose Moen Kitchen Faucet Base
Over time the base of Moen kitchen faucet may get loose. The free movement of the loose base can cause rupture to the water supplying lines of the valve which will lead to leakage. You can comfortably get rid of this nuisance by tightening the bottom.
At first, locate the two water supplying valves of the Moen kitchen faucet. Typically, these are positioned at the back of the faucet cabinet.
Now you need to turn off the valves to stop water dripping in from the supply lines. You need to rotate the valves in a counterclockwise direction to turn the taps off. Also, clear any obstacles from the kitchen sink and faucet that might hinder your reach to the valves.
After disconnecting the supply water lines turn on the valves to release any pressure from the faucet. It will help in the further process.
Now use a flashlight to focus on the faucet base. Attach an adjustable wrench with the supply lines and the inlet. Now you will have to turn the adjustable wrench in the counterclockwise direction to pry off the lines.
Now apply mild pressure to tighten each of the loose screws or nut of the basin base of the Moen kitchen faucet.
Reconnect the water supply lines and turn them on.

How To Tighten Moen Kitchen Faucet Handle
Over time due to frequent use, the grip of a Moen kitchen faucet will loosen up which effectively impacts the convenient off and on of the kitchen valve. This ultimately results in dripping water which is a significant loss.
So, you must respond quickly to tighten a Moen kitchen faucet handle as soon as you notice any loosening of the valve. The process is described below for your convenience.
Remove everything from over the sink so that nothing interferes with your work. Then turn off the water supply lines to ensure that dripping water won’t create a flood in the kitchen.
Now, carefully check the kitchen valve handle. Depending on which model of Moen faucet you are using, you will notice either of the two things
A setscrew at the end of the faucet base with a recessed hex.
Decorative caps on top of the handle.
Now find the proper size of the hex head wrench that will fit into the setscrews. Attach it with the setscrew firmly and turn it to the clockwise direction. Apply mild to intense pressure as you turn the hex wrench to tighten the handle.
In case the setscrew hides underneath the decorative cap, use a screwdriver and pliers to remove it. Then follow the step no.3 to tighten the setscrew and then reattach the decorative lid. Make sure you don’t damage the cap in the process.
Lastly, reconnect the water supply line and turn on the valve.
This process should work for most models of Moen Kitchen faucet- single and double handles.
